During the sessions all students play and learn together. Starting point is a central tune from wich different musical elements are derived, typical for a certain tradition, style, instrument or region.

In this atelier, the student will receive feedback on the musical process with regard to the application of specific folk playing techniques, oral learning, group musical interaction and interpretation/improvisation.

The didactical-pedagocical approach is based on learning by ear: minimal use of score, collective learning: playing with the whole group, interactive learning: a strong focus on musical interaction and collaborative learning: students learn from each other and work together.

Maximum participation from all students is required.
