Evaluation
Big Band & Ensembles (exchange Ma J) (B-LUCA-L83066)
Explanation
Assessment | Grading scale |
---|---|
TOTAL | 1-20/20 scale |
The evaluation is done according to the pass/fail principle, so a score is not awarded.
The evaluation criteria for passing or failing are the following:
• attendance (unauthorized absence automatically leads to a failing grade)
• preparation for and cooperation during contact moments
Absence at rehearsals or concerts:
In the event of a planned, legitimate absence for a combo rehearsal and/or concert, the Production Office must always be informed.
A legitimate absence is only possible according to one of the following options. If you are eligible for this, please report this and follow the appropriate procedure:
• You have an official status as a working student. However, you can only be absent according to a schedule agreed with the Production Office and program supervisor.
• Illness: report to the Production Office and upload your doctor's certificate via Proform to justify your absence.
• You have a Top Arts statute or a unique top-level performing cultural opportunity. This must always be discussed and approved in advance by the holder.
• You have curriculum obligations in another major, after approval by the department coordinator and if communicated in a timely manner.
Given the fact that the OPO ensemble and big band are also evaluated on the basis of attendance, unlawful absence inevitably leads to a failure for the course.
Non-valid reasons include rehearsals outside the home and teaching assignments.
