In this module the animation exercises are more complex and you will animate full figure characters. A series of new principles and working methods are explained.
The artistic studio is partly supported theoretically. To apply the theory, we create the exercises 2D digitally on the Cintiq.

Everything is available on campus to complete the exercises for this module. You provide your own drawing materials (pencils, eraser, drawing paper, sketchbook, etc.).
The software used is TVpaint. You will receive lesson videos and assignment descriptions via Toledo.

Theory based on "The Animator's Survival Kit" (R.Williams). You can borrow the physical manual and the DVD box from the library.

Highly recommended material:

Powerful desktop PC with 19" screen or larger. Basic specifications: i7 processor or similar, 64 MB RAM memory, good graphics card (NVIDIA or similar)

Digital drawing tablet for PC.

External hard drive (min 1TB)

Animation software: TVpaint license

The main language of the contacts is Dutch. For exchange students the language is English.
Documentation, guest speakers or study visits can occasionally be given in English (or French, German, etc.).

Artistic studio with partial theoretical explanation.
