Figure Drawing. Learning to observe and depict the human figure in all its aspects.

The proportions, stature, dynamics, posture, and expressive power of the human figure are drawn and studied from a live model.

Proportions of the human body, the figure in balance, quick representation of the figure, line quality, construction, drawing from within, observing light and volume, the silhouette, gesture, the long line, the pattern of shadow, figure dynamics, foreshortening, the effect of perspective.

The drawing reconstructs the reality of the model: the human body, anatomical study, the model in its environment, the portrait, the human figure in motion. The model serves as a catalyst, a means.

The student has the opportunity to explore and represent drawing from the model within their personal visual language and from their own vision and sensitivity.

Work is done with various drawing materials, supports, and formats.

Drawing materials.
