- The student can make connections between his own work and the contemporary history of painting in general.

- The student is aware of the different movements within the contemporary arts field, with specific attention to the discipline of painting. skills

- The student can verbally and with a visual presentation explain his personal involvement with the work of an artist to his fellow students. attitude

- The student takes the initiative to inform himself based on his personal focus within the broad field of the arts. Through these objectives, this course achieves the following domain- and course-specific learning outcomes: 2, 3, 4 and 6.

2. Over de nodige kennis, vaardigheden en inzichten beschikken inzake materiaal, vorm, handeling, concepten, functie en inhouden van het gekozen medium.

3. Kennis en inzicht hebben en blijven ontwikkelen in de maatschappelijke, culturele, artistieke, historische en internationale context van de beeldende kunsten en de artistieke praxis.

4. Een kritische en onderzoekende houding ontwikkelen en aanscherpen ten opzichte van ontwerpen en/of realisaties die voortkomen uit beeldende experimenten en onderzoek, emotie en intuïtie.

6. Het karakteristieke van persoonlijke ontwerpen en/of realisaties vatten en op geëigende wijze communiceren ten aanzien van een kritisch publiek.
